Team development

How do we boost the problem-solving capacity of our team? // How do I intervene in deadlocked communication in the workplace? // How do we face up to our most difficult conversations? // How do we make clear agreements with eachother? // How do we make sure we don’t 'outvote the fuel gauge'?

Isn’t it great when your team runs smoothly and collaboration works out? An organization that’s like a well-oiled machine: you can build on each other, because together you achieve more. Each person’s unique talent enhances the group, making one plus one more than two. But now for the real world, how does it work in practice? Each team will face unexpected setbacks, stress and illness, time pressure, falling meteorites…, but it will also face buried grievances, ego’s colliding, old sores, energy drains, unspoken opinions. And how could it be otherwise, because a team is made up of people. For a team to function well, it will need more than a drop of oil, that is:

INSIDEOUT: Transformation of subconscious dynamics

InsideOut was developed by Realize! as a facilitation tool, using methods such as Constallations work and Voice Dialogue to create a powerful transformation process. In 4 hours time, participants light-heartedly take different perspectives and roles, which have to do with a recurring team dynamic. In this way, conflicts, patterns and group dynamics are brought to light in a playful manner. Because InsideOut works on a real-life tension, the intervention helps solve an actual problem, while simultaneously boosting the problem-solving capacity of the team as a whole.

CONFLICT: A gold mine for transformation

Conflict resolution starts with gaining insight into the root cause underlying the conflict. It often appears as if conflicts occur between individuals, but in reality they generally turn out to be rooted in friction between positions, roles or styles, or tied to the phase in which the organization finds itself. During a conflict resolution workshop, we collectively explore the underlying cause of the conflict and the potential which lies hidden within it. This frequently removes much of the tension, so that the conflict can safely and naturally serve as fuel for personal growth and teamspirit.

TYPOLOGIES: Insight into each person’s unique qualities

Typologies can help in understanding what each person’s strengths are, and in becoming aware of how to constructively deal with weaknesses. Realize! helps map out clearly the individual qualities and imbalances in a team, such as the lack of a more structuring role, or the ‘three captains on one ship’ problem. The result of the workshop is improved cooperation, decreased frustration, higher levels of work satisfaction, and renewed mutual respect.
