Since his early days, Thomas was full of questions about the functioning of nature, the universe, the psyche, the bread toaster, etcetera. The quest for answers lead to academic studies, foreign countries, an array of wise folk and comprehensive self-inquiry.

He went to study International Business in Maastricht and graduated in 2006 with a thesis researching career coaching and career switches with Van Ede & Partners. Graduation was similarly a launch of Realize! together with Diederick and Jeroen, for which the foundations had been laid down during their time as roommates in Maastricht. In the first year, Realize! operated from their living room in Amsterdam. Self-employment in a close team made it possible to receive a lot of work experience fast, in various sectors and with a diverse range of smaller and bigger organizations; mostly in cooperation with experienced consultants, facilitators and change experts.

During those first years it become increasingly obvious that Thomas is at his best as a freethinking sparring partner for managers and directors, reflective coach/facilitator in leadership programs for young professionals and passionate 'serial entrepreneur' with several new ventures.

Within Realize!, Thomas focuses on services relating to leadership development, new ventures and human resources. Additionally, he is co-founder of Blik-Opener, which helps young professionals in making a career-switch, and The Hub Amsterdam, a sprawling network of entrepreneurs and freelancers that share inspiring office environments around the world.

Thomas lives in Amsterdam with his girlfriend Pleunie.
